Risk Assessment Statement for yoga clients attending group indoor sessions
The health and well-being of my clients is paramount. I have taken the
following measures in guidance with the below published Government
document entitled ‘Providers of grassroots sport and gym leisure facilities’
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-
19/providers-of-grassroots-sport-and-gym-leisure-facilities
The following are the practical steps that I have taken to protect, you, me and
others from COVID-19.
1. Most importantly…If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please do
not come to class and following government guidance on testing and selfisolating.
Your classes missed will be carried over to the next term. No
refunds will be given.
2. If I am experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, the classes will be cancelled
and resumed either after my self-isolation, or if not symptomatic of Covid-19
upon my recovery. Your classes missed will be carried over to the next term.
If you are not booking onto the following term, a refund for cancelled classes
will be given upon request.
3. Please do not come onto the premises earlier than the class start time.
When waiting to enter the premises please adhere to social distancing
guidance.
4. I will come outside to welcome you in. All doors will be kept open reducing
the need for you to touch door handles. I will close them once you are in the
hall.
5. When the premises are being shared with other people/groups please wear a
face mask in all communal areas. Your mask can be removed when inside
the room where you will be enjoying your yoga practice.
6. The hall will be ventilated throughout the day and weather permitting will be
ventilated during the yoga class.
7. Hand sanitizer will be available for you to use on entering the premises.
8. If you are first into the hall then please start a row to the back, keeping 2
metres apart from your neighbours. Each row will either have 3 or 4 spaces
available. With a total of 12 persons in the hall, inclusive of your yoga
teacher.
9. Please bring your own yoga props. I would recommend bringing the
following: yoga mat, blanket, yoga strap/belt, yoga block/cushion, 2 yoga
bricks & 2 sensy balls.
10. Sensy balls will be available to borrow but I have a limited number. All
equipment will be disinfected before and after use.
11. Any modifications offered will be verbalised rather than offered as hand-on
adjustments. Please let me know if you would prefer for me not to direct
instructions specifically to you.
12. Toilet facilities are available. I would though encourage you to arrive with
an empty bladder and bowel.
13. We will leave the hall through a separate exit to avoid other hall users who
are entering the venue.
14. Payment to be made before the start of term via bank transfer.
